Review for Chasing Her Heart

Wasn’t it enough that he crushed her heart, did he have to be her only hope also.

Shane was ready for a change from his demanding and dangerous job. Just as he finished his final assignment in Europe, he received a request from his best friend back home asking him to use his skills and chase down his wife’s flighty friend. Once he located her, he found himself attracted and feeling protective when troublesome incidents kept occurring around her.

Liz’s desire for love and fulfillment took her to Ireland to explore the land of her ancestors. Little did she know she’d walked right into a dangerous situation that could put her life in jeopardy. Now the sexy, arrogant Shane has inserted himself into her life. Confused and irritated by her attraction to him, she knew she could trust him to keep her safe. She just wished she could trust him with her heart.

Snippet:

So this was the infamous but elusive Shane? What a Neanderthal. Deciding to give as good as he was dishing out, she pushed against his hard chest to get him to move. Unfortunately, that was like trying to swat a brick wall and expect it to tumble.

I actually really enjoyed this book. It was a perfect story of a vacation/getaway gone wrong and in a situation that was completely realistic and fun. The tension, the romance, the adventure, etc all added together for a perfect story mix. The book does get a bit heated and a bit descriptive but is not erotic or graphic by any means. I enjoyed the characters being so like able. There were several times that i hitches while trying to figure out who and what and when and where - it definitely pulled me in and was fun to read. I'm interested in reading her other work too. I know this was part of a collection but it absolutely readable as a stand alone. I didn't feel like I missed anything for not reading the others but I am interested in reading them and hearing the stories of the other as well.

  1. The book was wonderful and I definitely recommend you read books 1 and 2 in the series of three. The first two tie in with the third one. This was a series that you just had to keep turning the pages to see what happens next. Just the right amount of love, sex and intrigue without being over the top. I gave it five stars.
