Tarragon Tour and Review (Dragon Mage)

After hundreds of years, the gates to Tarragon are open once more, fulfilling age-old prophecy. However, Anwen’s journey is far from over. The dragons still sleep and she has no clue how to wake them. Forced to retreat from the Mountain, she and her newfound friends must devise a new plan to wake the inhabitants of Tarragon.

Meanwhile, the Mage Circle, a group of dragon mages with a vendetta, is camped outside the Gates. Calling on allies of their own, they will stop at nothing to gain control of the Dragon City and all who dwell inside.

To complicate matters even more, Anwen’s mother has joined the party. But even with the help of all her friends, can Anwen overcome the ordeals set before her or will this spell the end of the dragons and the world as we know it?

I had the privilege of reading the first book in this series a year ago when it was first released. I love it and the review is HERE!
And now, I had the privilege of rereading the first book (which I enjoyed just as much as the first time) and then read the second book, released just yesterday! Here are my thoughts on that second book:
I found myself completely captivated as Tyler grew into himself and his abilities, I loved watching him become the man he could be and take on the role and powers he possesses. For Anwen I loved watching her become a woman who could make up her own mind when it came down to important issues and still be willing to recognize she needs the others to help her. I liked that she is not a "all powerful, can do it myself" heroine, but truly recognizes that there is power in listening to a learning from those around her but making her own decisions. There is so much growth in this book for all characters including Courtney. I really liked the character growth, the progress of the story  was really great too, addressing not only the how and why, but giving us great history of Tarragon and the dragon mages and the key keepers. I was completely into this book and did not like to stop reading to go to work. I highly recommend this book but you'll definitely need to read them in order. First pick up Key Keeper and then continue through on Dragon Mage. You'll love it!
