Mrs. Murray's Home Book Tour and Interview

There is a hidden treasure in the grand old mansion on Piccadilly Street, in a place called London, but not the real London of English fame. There’s also a lot of mystery and a murder that’s been unsolved for decades. But it’s the treasure that captures Mary’s interest.

Mary lives in this house along with her family, her Brownie friends and a ghost. When the ghost reveals her secret about the hidden treasure, there’s no stopping Mary, her Brownie friends, or her enemies from searching for this treasure.

Why the intrigue? Apparently there’s a little bit of magic connected to this treasure. And so the adventure begins. Who will find the treasure first?

Author Interview:

When you consider your future, what would you like to make happen for you?

Given the current world situation, I’d have to say the most important thing for all of us is to make it
through this Covid19 pandemic. I think there’ll be some amazing stories evolve from this horrific
experience. I just hope we all learn from the experience and, like the parents of the 1950s and 1960s (my parents especially) always enforced, wash your hands well: again and again and again!
Given that people are supposed to be self-isolating (and I hope everyone is), I’d like to think that more people are reading and enjoying my books, as well as books by other new writers. If you’re looking for suggestions of some great new publications (other than my books, of course), check out my Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/realpeoplestories, to see some of the books I’ve recently read and reviewed.

How do you spend your free time?

Reading, writing letters (the old fashioned way), walking my dog, working in the garden (or, in the winter, making plans for spring gardening), needlework, collage painting, playing the piano, composing music. I guess you could say I do just about everything that is creative. Each creativity inspires the other. It’s a good thing I have so many stay-at-home activities in the current world situation. We have to keep busy, keep our minds active and try to think positive. For me, that means forever doing something creative.

Which fictional character, book or film, would you like to meet and why?

Andy Carpenter, and his dog, Tara, from David Rosenfelt’s “Andy Carpenter Series”. I could use a little bit of his clever sleuthing mixed with humor and lots of doggie love right now. Couldn’t you?

A genie grants you three writing-related wishes: what are they and why?

1 - That everyone would see the importance of reading and start reading books again.
Why? If more people read, then the publishing industry would grow again and there would be a greater demand for books such as mine and so many other very talented authors who are not getting the attention they deserve.

2 - That every country in the world would adopt Iceland's holiday tradition of giving books to loved ones on Christmas Eve.
Why? I think this is a lovely tradition and a great way to support contemporary writing talent.

3 – That people would read more historical relevant material and learn from what they read.
Why? We’ve had world pandemics before: the plague, the Spanish flu in 1918/19, smallpox in 1947. If only we’d learn from history and move forward together, away from the current ‘me’ generation.

COMING SOON!

My 11-year-old and I are reading the entire set and so far loving them, but didn't get a chance to finish. We will be done this coming week and all 3 individual reviews will be posted here
on this page as well as on Amazon!
In the meantime, feel free to enjoy my review of book 1 - Mrs. Murray's Ghost - originally posted HERE on this blog and on Amazon.

Blitz: Chubbs; a blind cat learns to trust

Sandra Kindt is always up for a good story, written or verbal, although there is that cookbook she won in elementary school that hasn’t seen the light of day. But the times she’s been caught reading historical novels with a highlighter—because there’s always something to learn—should make up for that.

After earning an MA in communication, she taught Organizational Behavior at several universities and Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People in the corporate world. Her love of writing goes back to the journals she started in the fifth grade, when she fancied herself Nancy Drew. She loves to hang out with her four grown-up kids and six grandchildren. It’s like visiting the best parts of herself.

A mangy alley cat isn’t at the top of anybody’s adoption list. Nevertheless, when Grandma Sandy scoops it up into her arms, her heart nudges her to take it home, and she listens. Grandma always trusts her feelings.

Lots of tender care soon transforms the mangy cat into beautiful, round Chubbs. But when she loses her sight, will she listen to her feelings like Grandma and learn to trust the one who loves her most?

Mysterious and elusive, Lady Chrysania of Bloodstein calls from the ruins of her castle. She dwells in the dark, hiding her face, ravaged by an ancient curse. The only way to break the curse is to win a game called Perlamum. If she loses, she dies. She looks to her Vith kin in the west, begging for help acquiring the all-important pieces she needs to play the game.

Lord Kabyl of Blanchefort, his Ne-Countess Sammidoran, and his cousins answer her call. However, collecting the Perlamum pieces for Lady Bloodstein is a deadly game. They must face a host of perils:

-The terrible Black Hat in the city of Waam who knows their every move.
-A hated rival on the planet Xandarr and the bewildering labyrinth of Gods Temple.
-The man from Shook who cannot be killed.
-A family of vile bravos from the south.
-The diabolical Dead Men of Mare, nigh invincible creatures straight from an insane nightmare.

To even the odds, Kay and Sam turn to a forgotten graveyard deep in the Telmus Grove, and the great eminence resting there.

Can Lady Chrysania of Bloodstein be helped, or, for that matter . . .

. . . can she be trusted?

Tour: Heaven Heals

Heaven Heals (By Understanding Abraham’s Covenant) is the first book of the Heaven Heals series.
It is the story of Sarah & Abraham, the covenant God made with them, and how their covenant benefits every one of us. It describes the promises He guaranteed them and guarantees everyone who commits to walk with him. It is valuable in introducing Christ's gospel of love for all, the reality of the everlasting family, and the hope and healing that comes from the knowledge gained in understanding Sarah & Abraham's covenant with God.  Also, the book explains the universality of all religions united in their goals to serve and love each of God’s children.
The second book in the series is, Heaven Heals (Finding Hope in the Reunion with Your Lost Loved One.)  It is due to release in late 2020.

The Bible declares that all are saved, by the Grace of Jesus Christ. A lifetime of good works cannot get one into the kingdom of God; it is Christ’s Atonement, through His Grace, which allows a return to God. He is known as The God of Heaven and Earth, The Great Mediator, The Advocate with The Father, Our Access into Heaven. The Bible states all humanity is fallen and in need of God’s Grace to redeem them… (Galatians 3:22). The Apostle Paul spoke to the disciples who previously kept the Law of Moses before the coming of Christ: “But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed” (Galatians 3:23).

Tour: Roman and Jules

When Jules meets Roman Verona at an exclusive Vegas party, she doesn’t suspect the bad blood that runs so deep between Roman and her boyfriend, Ty, until the two men have it out in front of her. Even worse, Jules finds out that Ty has never loved her. She storms away, only to have her ex’s sworn enemy offer her a ride into town... as well as a shocking proposal.

A nice girl wouldn’t even consider making her ex jealous with a sham marriage, so why does she chance it with Roman?

Acting the role of devoted husband, Roman soon becomes fascinated with more than Jules’s sweet smile and poetic soul. As her band’s fame grows in Vegas so do his feelings for her and what started out as revenge against his miserable cousin turns into something deeper.

But bad boys don’t settle down. So why does Roman risk everything to win Jules’ heart?

All bets are off in this modern and sleek tale of star-crossed love!
