So let me tell you something about me.
6 months ago I could not run (I couldn't have run a mile to save my life). 6 months ago I weighed more than I ever have in my entire life. 6 months ago I could not do 10 push-ups without collapsing. 6 months ago walking to the mailbox was considered exercise because it winded me. 6 months ago, I was kinda lots of pathetic (I am allowed to say this about myself!)
I have lost several inches on my waist, hips, and chest. I have lost several pounds. Walking to the mailbox doesn't even count as a warm-up! I do boot-camp workout hardcore 4 times a week. I was taken off gluten at my doctor's suggestion and have seen many health improvements (just to make this clear, I do have a gluten intolerance and when I tried to go back on it I got super sick with migraines) and I feel so much better about knowing my body is healthy!
I took control of myself and my body and made a change!
So on Saturday I did something that might seem simple for some, but for me was a major step forward .... I ran a 5K!
That's right, I ran just over 3 miles!
Here's a look into my wonderful moment of triumph! (these are people from my boot-camp workout group Melanie, Alisa, Leandra, and Miles)
Everything up to here was taken at the beginning of the race, getting warmed up and colored up
Everything after this is at the end - notice how our aren't as energetic ;)
So tell me, how do you stay fit and healthy?
